'Allergens in a Nutshell' training workshop

This allergy workshops include; class exercises, case studies, role plays, power point presentations and discussions. Each delegate can be provided with a certificate of attendance if required or they could go on to take the CIEH accredited level 2 healthier food and specials diets course. The course is taught by our nutritionist who previously worked in the NHS as a registered dietitian.

This training now includes coverage of the new allergen regulations section which came into effect on the 13th Dec 2014

The Allergy Training Workshop includes:

  • Menu information and much more.

  • The allergy workshop will help managers and staff to deal effectively with food allergy problems and: 
  • Pass on knowledge and awareness to other staff members. 
  • Answer customer questions.
  • Understand that allergens are a hazard 
  • Appreciate the importance of allergens that are "hidden" 
  • Identify the most common food allergens. 
  • Understand: How many people are affected? 
  • Appreciate why food allergy occurs, what the symptoms are?
