- Duration: One-day food hygiene course (min 6 hours) and assessment
- Assessment: Multiple choice examination 30 questions with 20 correct to pass

The *Basic Food Hygiene course was replaced by and re-named ´CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering´ in 2006.
*The basic food hygiene certificate was replaced by food safety to accommodate new legislation. New legislation recommends that training must be appropriate for the work done. It is recommended certificates are renewed every 3 years and refresher training taken yearly through training.
Do I need level 1 food hygiene training course before enrolling on a level 2 food safety course?
You do not need to have level 1 food safety or food hygiene training before doing this course. Food safety level 2 exam papers are available in 21 differnent languages, please ask for details. Places are limited on open to public courses and get booked up quickly, so book early to guarantee your place. All bookings can be done on-line through this website. To book on-line to secure your place, just find the course date and follow the process through.
