RSPH Level 2 Award in Nutrition for Health

This nutrition qualification is useful for those who wish to enhance their existing knowledge of human nutrition. It is also ideal for individuals who are in the catering, hospitality, care or leisure industries who need an understanding of what constitutes nutritious and healthy meals.

In the health sector, it would be relevant for health trainers, other health professionals and staff in a range of public services who need a good knowledge of human nutrition.

This course replaces the Healthier Food and Special Diets qualification. 

To achieve this qualification a candidate must:

  • Understand healthy eating guidelines in comparison with the average UK diet
  • Understand how diet affects health and wellbeing
  • Understand the factors that influence food choices
  • Understand healthy eating guidelines in comparison with the average UK diet

  • Duration: One day
  • Ofqual qualification number: 603/2159/3
  • Assessment: 30 MCQ's (20 correct to pass), to be completed in 45 minutes. 
  • Candidate requirements:Ideally candidates should have a level 1 in a nutrition related course and literacy and numeracy level 2
