Food Safety and Hygiene Training Courses for Catering

Designed for those entering the workplace for the first time, this qualification provides a basic awareness of key safety issues and the role everyone should play in keeping themselves and others free from harm at work.

Food safety training is for employees in the workplace who participate in activities related the catering industry. Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering qualification was previously known as the elementary and basic food hygiene qualification. This food hygiene training course is ideal for those working in the catering and hospitality industry or those who would like to gain knowledge in food hygiene.

Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering (formerly intermediate food hygiene course) is aimed at those in the workplace who require safety training courses in activities related to the subject area and who also have a related supervisory role. The qualification equates to the intermediate food hygiene qualification.

This qualification covers all of the necessary aspects of food hygiene and safety in depth, providing candidates with thorough knowledge. It concentrates on the need for programmes and procedures to be properly drawn up, introduced and monitored to ensure full compliance with the legislation.
