Level 2 HACCP Course - RSPH

This RSPH Level 2 in Understanding HACCP course introduces the concept of HACCP and enables the learner to develop an understanding of all control, monitoring and corrective action procedures for which they may be directly responsible in order to ensure effective food safety.

Who is this course for:

For anyone working in the food and drink sectors (Manufacturing and Catering) who need to have an understanding or Level 2 qualification in HACCP.  Candidates taking this course will have knowledge and understanding of facts, procedures and ideas in HACCP to complete well defined tasks and address straight-forward problems. They will be able to interpret relevant information and ideas and will be aware of a range of information that is relevant to HACCP within a food environment. This course is suitable for Catering, Manufacturing and related businesses, who need to understand the basic principles of HACCP. 

 

Summary of outcomes:

  • Understand the importance of HACCP - benefits, origins, legal requirements, due diligence.

  • Understand the fundamentals of HACCP - Prerequisites, the process of developing HACCP based on CODEX HACCP Principles. 

Course information:

  • Duration: one-day 09:30-17:30 public courses.

  • For training at a food business, we can start training earlier than 09:30. 

  • Assessment method: Multiple-choice examination (20 questions) (catering and manufacturing options)

  • Ofqual qualification number: 603/3652/3

  • Pre-requisite: None, however it is best to have knowledge in food safety before taking this course

  • Recommended progression: Level 3 HACCP

Course Trainer

Your Trainer: 

  • Teaching Food Safety and HACCP courses for over 13 years. Delivers training courses at Food Manufacturers, Catering and Hospitality businesses, large and small. 

  • Worked in food businesses and owned a food business.

  • An international Food Safety Auditor for Ecolab and is a private food safety consultant. Writes bespoke HACCP plans and Food Safety Policies and procedures for food businesses.

  • Holds a B.Sc (Hons) in a Food science and Nutrition related subjects and Level 4 in Food Safety.

  • Delivered courses in HACCP, Food Safety and Nutrition for Local Authorities for over 10 years.

  • We run public courses at our venue for anyone to attend 

  • Cost £110pp, includes exam fees. (Reduced places due to Covid controls)

  • Our courses are VAT exempt. Contact us for more information

 

In-house - we come to you. 

  • If you'd like this course delivered at your business location, submit a request and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • Although we are based in London, we can deliver this course anywhere in England.  Trainer travel fees may be applicable. 

  • Cost £300 plus £30pp, includes exam fees. We can train up to 20 candidates per course.

  • Our courses are VAT exempt.
