Frequently Asked Questions

What is Natasha's Law?+

Natasha's Law (the UK Food Information Amendment) requires food businesses to provide full ingredient lists with allergens emphasised on all prepacked for direct sale (PPDS) foods. It came into force on 1 October 2021.

Do I need allergen labelling for my restaurant?+

If you sell prepacked for direct sale foods (sandwiches, salads, baked goods wrapped on-site), you must provide full ingredient labelling. For non-prepacked foods served in restaurants, you must be able to provide allergen information verbally or in writing when asked.

How quickly can you set up our allergen management system?+

A typical allergen matrix and labelling system can be set up within 2–4 weeks, depending on the size of your menu and number of suppliers.

How much does an allergen matrix cost?+

£200 for small cafés and takeaways, £350 for larger venues. If your menu changes later, new dishes can be added to your matrix for £50 per 3 dishes, or £25 per dish.

What happens after I send a message?+

A consultant reviews your enquiry and replies within 1 business day with a tailored quote or available dates. Prefer to talk it through first? Book a free 15-minute call.
