The portal is free to join, with unlimited seats and unlimited sites on every plan. Free gives you the Compliance Dashboard, Incident Log, Resource Hub, Training Calendar, group bookings, and view-only access to HACCP plans, corrective actions, and traceability records. Free includes volume bulk discounts on courses (up to 20% off). Starter (£19/month, 12-month contract) adds 10% off all courses, 5% off consulting, and view-only compliance records. Professional (£79/month, 12-month contract) unlocks the HACCP plan builder, corrective action workflow, traceability and recall editing, plus 15% off courses, 10% off consulting, and phone support. On paid plans you pay the better of your plan discount or the course’s bulk discount, never both. Enterprise is custom-priced with a dedicated account manager, Okta / SSO and SCIM directory sync, multi-region failover, and advanced support. Expert document reviews are available on every plan and priced per review, from £200.

The dashboard gives your business a live compliance score derived from staff certification status, certificate expiry dates, training completion rates, weekly quiz participation, logged compliance events, and open incidents. It tracks events per site so multi-location businesses can see where issues are concentrated, and links directly to EHO Inspection Prep for a pre-visit readiness check.

Purchase 5–10 seats and save 10%, 11–20 seats for 15% off, or 21+ seats for 20% off. Discounts apply automatically at checkout and are available on every plan including Free. If you are on a paid plan (Starter 10%, Professional 15%), you pay the better of your plan discount or this bulk discount on each order, whichever saves more, never both stacked. Separately, businesses that purchase 2 or more courses unlock the loyalty programme, starting at Bronze (10% off consulting) and rising to Platinum (25% off plus custom training and quarterly reviews).

From Training Bookings in the portal, you can request a group session for any RSPH-accredited course, specify your preferred dates, choose on-site or webinar delivery, and assign team members as participants. Kitchen Tonic will confirm an available session, you will be notified by email and can confirm within the portal. All confirmed bookings appear on your Training Calendar.

Any team member can log an incident from the portal in the browser, with a quick session sign-off so shared devices stay low friction. From a phone, Voice Log lets them describe what happened out loud and turns the recording into a draft incident for review, while the 3-Tap Flash Log captures an incident or temperature breach in three taps and works even when offline. Managers can opt in to instant email alerts whenever a high-severity incident is logged.

Yes. From the portal you can generate a secure share link to a live summary of your compliance position and label it for its recipient, such as a landlord, insurer, franchisor, or head office. The link shows aggregate figures only, meaning your compliance score and its breakdown, staff certification percentage, active certificates, and HACCP status, with no staff names or internal notes. Viewers need no Kitchen Tonic account, every link expires automatically after 30 days, and you can revoke a link at any time.

Expert Review is an independent, paid sign-off on your compliance documents by a qualified Kitchen Tonic consultant. Request a review of your HACCP plan (from £450), corrective actions (from £450), or allergen matrix (£200) directly from the portal. Reviewed documents carry a ‘Reviewed by Carren’ badge pinned to the exact version that was checked, and if the document changes afterwards the badge is flagged for re-review, so the sign-off keeps its meaning. Yes. Our courses are accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation. Qualifications are recognised by Environmental Health Officers and meet the requirements of the Food Safety Act 1990, Regulation (EC) No 852/2004, and the Food Hygiene Regulations 2006.
