Course Description
This paediatric first aid course provides essential information for the Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF). Participants develop vital competencies to respond effectively to emergencies involving infants and children, prioritising their safety and wellbeing during critical situations.
The qualification provides a comprehensive understanding of emergency paediatric first aid as outlined by the Department for Education (September 2016).

Practical Assessments
- Infant CPR and AED use

Theory Assessment
Multiple-choice exam — 15 questions in 25 minutes. Minimum 11/15 required to pass.
Accreditation
Ofqual regulated (RQF) — aligned with Department for Education requirements (September 2016).
Prerequisites
- Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy skills recommended
- Physical capability to perform CPR on a floor-positioned casualty
- Ability to demonstrate practical first aid procedures
