Frequently Asked Questions
In-House Training — Common Questions
How many people can attend an in-house session?
Most awarding bodies cap a single trainer cohort at 16 delegates per session, which is what we typically deliver. For larger teams we run back-to-back sessions or assign multiple trainers on the day so the whole rota can be certified together.
How much does in-house training cost?
On-site training is priced per session — the fixed elements are the trainer day rate, the official course materials, and the awarding-body assessment fees. The per-delegate cost falls sharply at higher group sizes. Per-course pricing is shown in the catalogue below; for an exact figure based on your team size, location and chosen course, request a quote.
Do you train at our premises or do we travel to you?
We come to you. Our trainers cover the whole of England as standard, with travel surcharges for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We have delivered training in commercial kitchens, function rooms, head offices, hotels, schools and outside-catering bases.
What qualifications do staff receive?
The same qualifications offered in our public classroom courses — RSPH (Royal Society for Public Health) accredited or Ofqual-regulated, depending on the course. Certificates carry the awarding body logo and are recognised by Environmental Health Officers across the UK.
How quickly can you book us in?
Standard lead time is 2–3 weeks, with most enquiries confirmed within 48 hours. Urgent bookings can often be accommodated where a trainer is available locally — get in touch and we will tell you what is possible.
Can the course be tailored to our menu and SOPs?
Yes. Our trainers build practical examples around your kitchen, your menu, your equipment and your standard operating procedures, so the learning translates directly to the working environment your team operates in. The accredited syllabus is fixed by the awarding body, but everything around it is customised.
